Alkalizing Green Mango, Banana & Wheatgrass Smoothie
Summer is here and so are raw mangoes…This smoothie is full of fruity flavor but also tart citrus of lime and rich spicy flavor of cilantro. But don’t let this recipe scare you – it tastes great and is full of fab nutrients.
Cilantro, considered a microgreen, is low in calories (yeah!) and high in nutrition packing in magnesium, manganese and iron. It also has high levels of lutein which supports eye health and skin.
- 1 small or medium banana, frozen
- ½ cup pear
- 1 cup spinach
- 1 cilantro stem (including leaves)
- Juice of 1/4 lime
- 30 ml wheatgrass juice
- 1/2 cup unsweetened almond milk
- Place all ingredients in a blender jar and blend until smooth.
- All done! Enjoy!!
